French Travel PlannerTravel QuestionsOne night in Paris

Question: My wife and I are arriving at Charles De Gaulle airport on July 2nd, 5pm, and leaving from Beauvais airport on July 3rd, 6.20pm. Can you recommend a hotel for one night? Near a RER station and cheap is best. Is Champs Elysees a good area to see at night or where else is good to walk and maybe see some entertainment? Maybe see Eiffel Tower or other attractions next morning. Any recommendations/tips/suggestions? We don't want to spend a lot so maybe places we can walk and see in the limited time available.

Answer: The Champs Elysées is very good area to see at night, the Arc de Triomphe will be lit up. For something to do in the morning the Eiffel Tower would be a good idea or think about Jardin des Tuilerise near the Louvre for a nice walk.
For a hotel I used to stay in the Hôtel Rivoli - 44, rue Rivoli, 75004 PARIS, 01 42 72 08 41. It is near the hotel de ville and not right next to a RER but a metro stop.
For finding other hotels try - www.venere.com, it is one of my sponsors and they have a large selection of hotels in Paris.
