Q & AMoving/Living/WorkingMoving from Los Angeles to France

Question: My husband and I are both artists living in Los Angeles, California and we are seriously considering relocating to France. We are about to make a trip in September for the first time, but we've had friends and relatives give us insight into the French experience. When is the best time to relocate? Can you give us some honest tips and advice about our possible decision? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Answer: The best insight I can give you is to spend sometime in France before you decide to move, a few months at a minimum. I know that's a lot but I don't want you to go through all the problems of moving and then have to comeback. Remember that you would be moving to a country much different than the one that you now live in. Things happen much differently in France, some might say slower. The French believe that life is meant to be enjoyed unlike Americans that see life as an opportunity for self-enrichment. At least that's my take.
If you have not, see my Moving Planner, it has most of my moving tips.
