The January 9th 2004 edition of Le Point magazine was partly dedicated to the question of 'Where to live in France?' Le Point surveyed France's largest cities and came up a top 100 "Best Place to Live' list along with lists based on criteria, Employment, Enjoyable, Safe to Drive …
This year saw France's three largest cities; Paris, Lyon and Marseille made impressive improvement, Paris moved from 23rd in 2003 to 15th this year. Lyon went from 15th to 5th and Marseille went from 81st to 43rd. Another big gainer was Strasbourg that went from 33rd to 3rd.
In the overall list, Nantes was number one, for the second year in a row, followed by - Dijon - Strasbourg - Orléans - Lyon - Rennes - Vannse - Toulouse - Angers - Tours, rounding out the top ten. The complete list can be found here.
