Best Plus: close to everything; the sea, the luberon, alps, etc. marseille has, shall we say, a "reputation". this keeps many tourists away and, in a way, preserves the culture.

Biggest Drawback: traffic. this is a large french city with typical small roads and boulevards. sidewalk parking, double parking, you name it.
