My son will be studying in Versailles and he is interested in boxing. Does anyone know of any place he can practice while living in France?
We will be going to visit him after Christmas. Any recommendations on what to do on New Year's Eve?

Here is just one idea: If you are in the city of Paris go, with the rest of the world to the Champs of Elysees. (Many people go to the base of the Tour Effile thinking that is where the party is, all that is there is a few lost tourists). Mostly everyone just walks about with bottles of wine/champagne, and when I say everyone, that street is packed. WATCH OUT of pick pockets though. Absolutely no money belts, most people I knew that wore them had them cut off. I just folded up a few bills and put them in the inside of my coat. One not though, don't expect a big count down. We would never have known it was midnight except that we looked at our watches.
Also I spent christmas eve at Chartres, and that was magical. I don't know haw much time you will have but a visit to Strasbourg during christmas time is a must, it seems like that old world santa-town feeling. Have fun.
