Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows the name of the application that students can fill out to receive housing loans from the French government.

Hello, the French student housing subsidies are called APL (aide personnalisée au logement) or ALS (Allocation au Logement à caractère Social). Depending on the type of housing you will have in France as a student, you will qualify for one or the other. No nationality requirement. Here are a couple web sites for you. www.caf.fr (the CAF - Caisse d'Allocations Familiales - is the institution granting those subsidies) http://www.mapiaule.com/article.php3?id_article=7880 http://etudiants.locataires.free.fr/html/aides.html (the two last web sites are non official: I honestly don't know what they are worth, but they might be a little less cryptic than the official one - both are in French, though) Hope that helps! Iris
