Subject: Looking for a good web site for raising bi-lingual children
Date: Saturday, July 16, 2005
Name: Shannon
Message: My husband is French, I am American. We currently live in in the U.S. but may be moving back to France. In the mean time we are trying to raise our child bilingual (OPOL method). I am finding some information on theory, but not a whole lot of information on the practice and day to day issues. Does anyone have any references?

I am particulary looking for a web site, maybe with forums, or input from other parents.

Preferably dealing with English as one of the languages. Site or info in French or English. Thank you, Shannon

Message Have you considered putting your child in a French or international school in your area. That is what my husband and I are doing to that way when we return to France our son will not be behind. Sending your child to a French school will also help him/her to develop French language abilities outside of the home as well.
