Subject: Grenoble/Crolles area
Date: Tuesday, June 21, 2005
Name: Alice
Message: My husband and I will be moving to the Grenoble area in about 6mos-1yr (after a brief stay in Brussels). Any ideas on sites for looking for an apartment? I know it's a bit early, but we wanted to get an idea/head start.

Thanks!

Message Hi,

we're also moving to the Grenoble area soon (early-mid '06). I like the following web site for finding listings:

www.fnaim38.com

Be prepared to have a difficult time, as the US-style equal housing laws don't apply. If you're coming for work, try to convince your company to hold your lease (you can pay them back via payroll deductions). Prices seem pretty high (second only to Paris, I heard...)

Good luck, and see you there maybe.

Message HI!!

No, you are not too early!! It depends on the size of the house you are looking for.

A lot of newly arrived couples try to settle by Meylan or the Chambery valley (crolles, le touvet...) But the prices are going very high now!

You don't want to look on the Lyon valley or the west side of grenoble, because the traffic is really bad!!

Don't hesitate if you need more info!
