I am looking for some insight from someone (preferably American) that has cooked in French restaurants (specifically Paris). I am moving to Paris next year, I want to continue working in, and moving up, in my field. I am a formally trained chef with about 5 years in up-scale establishments. I can legally work in France. Ok, so I am curious about finding this kind of work, what resources are available. What the working conditions are like, especially for women, pay, hours, etc.... In short I would be interested in hearing about anyone's experience. Thank you.
