Subject: Re-wiring lamps
Date: Saturday, May 20, 2006
Name: Joan Arbuthnot
Message: I'm moving to France sometime next year and I have several antique floor lamps that I would like to keep, but don't want transformers all over the house. Can they be re-wired/fitted for 220?

Joan

PS. This site has tons of good info. Thanks for being there.

Message Lori, thanks, that's great to know. Also nice to know the equivalent to Home Depot.

Name Lori
Message Absolutely Joan. We had it done to several lamps. We happened to be doing a big renovation project and our electrician did it while he was here - snap, snap, snap and all was done.

They even sell kits in some of the larger stores like Brico Depot (like Home Depot).

Not a problem.
