Message I have bought one way tickets to Europe from the US on line without any problem. I also have bought return tickets, europe/us/europe without any problem. There are some sites in the US that will only sell roundtrip tickets.

Message I don't know what the situation was for S but I came to France with a one way ticket in September 2005 and was able to board the plane and go through customs with no problems at all. I am not married to a French person and I have only been given a short term carte de sejour.

Message i found a one-way ticket that is half the price of everything roundtrip that i found on discount airfare sites. according to the french consulate and the french ministry of foreign affairs, i require nothing more than a passport to gain entry with the intent to marry a french national even if it is a long term stay. i have yet to receive an answer from them concerning the airline ticket, however. thanks for the advice. i hope i get an official answer soon.

Message Nope, I was in the same situation and had all my paperwork and visa etc... and the answer was still no. My question to you would be why would you want a one-way when it costs 2-5 times more than a round trip that you throw away half.

I was flying on a standby voucher and so it was relevant.
