| Message: | I am an American and married to a French citizen. My question is: Will she receive the same benefits that an American married to an American retired and living in France and receiving SS.? Is there a difference in benefits. What about taxes.I will have more questions as time goes on but any help will be greatly appreciated. Fred |

Dear Fred, I apologize for responding to a question with a question. I don't have an answer for your question, but may I ask whether you have any information on direct deposit of SS checks to a French checking account? Thanks.
