This is the March 2007 traffic estimation for France. Overall March is a good month for traffic in France. The exceptions being ski resort areas. French schools have their winter vacation during February and March (see French School Holidays 2006-2007 for more information). This means that there could be heavy traffic going to or coming from ski resort areas, mostly coming back, as school vacation end in March.
The heaviest days will be Saturday and Sunday, when many are traveling. The weekend of the 3rd and 4th plus the weekend of the 10th and 11th will be the worst for the Rhône Valley/Alpes access region and Burgundy. The Autoroutes (highways) most effected will be the 6A, A40, A41, A43 and the A48.
