Daily Life There are a number of English language newspapers, magazines and journals published in France. Some are national, some regional and on line. Just about all try to help those that are new to France with the transition to living in a foreign country. This is done either through articles about life in France and/or listing of English speaking business. Below is a list of selected newspapers, magazines and journals published in English. If you know of another not listed please contact me. National: The Connexion - The Connexion keeps readers informed of what is happening in and around France with its many pages of French news and information on expatriate life (including an American section!) in France. In addition to the national news pages, The Connexion carries legal, financial and health articles, all written by experts in their field, aimed at informing and updating expats in France on the important issues of life in France. Note: Americans in France will be featured in the June 2007 issue. French News - An established English language monthly published in Périgueux (Dordogne) and distributed across the whole of France and overseas. Covers topics of French national and regional interest including politics, economics, cultural events and a broad range of practical advice for English speaking residents. On Line: French Accent Magazine: Offers 40 pages of crucial information on settling and living in France. The unique concept of French Accent is that the majority of the articles are both in French and in English with numerous audio files for listening to everyday life scenarios, vocabulary, songs and other features. The French audio files can be downloaded in an MP3 format for iPods or other MP3 players. The Magazine is published every 2 months and can be read online or subscribers can print their own copies with the printable version option. Regional: Languedoc Sun - This free bimonthly magazine helps to integrate newcomers to the Languedoc region. Central Brittany Journal - Is a monthly English-language journal about Central Brittany. Goal is “to welcome people to the area, provide information about services and businesses, and be a forum for the exchange of ideas.”
