Q & A

Subject: What do I need to take to Paris?

Question: What do I need to take to Paris? (clothing, cash or travelers checks, etc)

Answer: Personally I always travel in France with cash or credit cards (American types will be accepted, no pin number credit cards that is.) I never have had any problems. I never have used travelers checks in France and don’t know what the acceptance rate of local businesses is. As for clothing I would try to travel light, with maybe three days of change. What one must have when traveling in France, is a good guidebook, Michelin seems to be the best value in my experience. Also a good map can make getting around easer, if that is possible in French cities. A map is something that you should buy the first day you arrive in Paris, as the best maps tend to be found locally.
