Q & A

Subject: Verdun.

Question: I lived for three years in Verdun when I was little. I have just started planning (with a friend) to go to France this summer, end of August for two weeks. We will be staying at a friend's apartment in Paris. My dream is to ride bikes through the countryside and spend a night or two in Verdun. How should I proceed?

Answer: What I would suggest is that you plan your trip around B & B’s that you can find to stay in. August is the main time that the French go on vacation, so you need to start getting places to stay ASAP. As of this writing I have never been to Verdun, so I can’t help you with places to go and see. For finding B & B’s try looking at www.gites-de-france.fr it will have a list of B & B’s to stay at. You could also when you are in Paris take some day trips to the countryside by using the train. Even with Paris being a big city, you can still find the country side not far away, think about visiting Chartres and Versailles.
