Q & A

Subject: Move to France with Mother.

Question: I must admit that your web page is quite comprehensive with good directions. Our case is bit different because we as of my mom and me would like to move there and stay there for some time. We spend one month in Brittany and it looks to be good place to stay. How can one organize health insurance in France? Perhaps you know some good health insurance? I am now to all issues because my father past away ten days ago and all load is on my shoulders how to do it. Any leads appreciated greatly!

Answer: Sorry about your father passing away. Make sure your head is right before moving to France. For health insurance try http://www.globalinsurancenet.com, it is the only company that has been recommended to me. I hope that you speak some French, as it will be needed to make the move to France. You might have a problem finding a place to stay, as French landlords want proof of income before renting to someone. Here are some links for finding an apartment, http://www.immo.bonjour.fr/, http://agent-immobilier-france.com/, http://www.pap.fr/ and http://www.journaldesparticuliers.com/.
