Q & A

Subject: Lose your passport in France.

Question: What do you do if you lose your passport in France. And are valuables and documents safe left in accommodation in France?

Answer:

If you lose your passport in France, I would suggest you contact the nearest embassy or consulate of your county of citizenship.
As for your question of safety of valuables, that is very hard to say. I would say in general yes, France has safe hotels but that of course depends on the establishment and its employees. You could always ask your hotel if they have a safe or what they suggest for valuables. Another idea is asking other guests but then that does advertise your leaving something of value in your room.
