Q & A

Subject: Location of Guedelon near Saint-Fargeau.

Question: I am traveling to France and recently read an article on Michel Guyot's efforts to build a castle, Guédelon, using 13th century methods. It is located in Saint Fargeau, in "an isolated corner of northern Burgundy", but I cannot find it on my maps. Do you know where it might be? Perhaps a town it is near that would be on a map? I hope you are able to help. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Answer: Guédelon is in the Yonne department, near the towns of Saint-Sauveur en Puisaye and Saint-Amand en Puisaye, an hour and a half from Paris. There is a web site that has all the information that you will to find Guédelon, http://www.guedelon.com.
