Q & A

Subject: Inns in Strasbourg

Question: My family has recently moved to Paris and would like to travel to Strasbourg over Thanksgiving. What inns or inexpensive hotels would you recommend? What are the must-see sites?

Answer:

My personal suggestion would be to stay in a Gîte (http://www.gites-de-france.fr) outside of Strasbourg, of course that would only work if you had a car. Otherwise there are a few inexpensive chain hotels in Strasbourg, try www.accor.com, a sponsor of mine. Lastly here are some independent hotels at around 60 euro a night, Aux Trois Roses (http://www.hotel3rosesasbourg.com), Couvent du Franciscain (http://www.hotel-franciscain.com), Hotel de I'll (03 88 36 20 01), Hotel des Arts (http://www.hotel-arts.com), Hotel Kleber (http://www.hotel-kleber.com/), Hôtel du Rhin (http://www.hotel-du-rhin.com/) and Hotel Le Grillon (http://www.grillon.com). For more hotels try www.venere.com, they are a sponsor of mine.
As for what to see in Strasbourg have a look at my web site, www.americansinfrance.com, under Attractions - Alsace. Have a nice trip, Jeff.
