Q & A

Subject: From CDG airport to Beauvais.

Question: We will be traveling from CDG airport to Beauvais airport in May of 2003 and wanted to know if you could suggest a possible solution.

Answer: Here is my suggested route, take the RER (a suburban type train system), look for signs at CDG marked TVG/RER. You will take the RER to the stop Châtelet transferring to the line 1 direction La Défense, getting off at Porte Maillot. When you get off at Porte Maillot you will need to find, 1 boulevard Pershing, that is where the bus service leaves for Beauvais airport. The total cost one way should be around $15.
Another route you could use is to take the Air France bus (No. 2) from CDG into Paris metro stop Charles-De-Gaulle Etoile and then use metro line 1 direction La Défense, going two stops and getting off at Porte Maillot. Thinking about it now that sounds to be the best idea. Using the RER is only easy after you have used it a few times. If you just had a long flight then it might not be worth saving a few dollars.
Warning, CDG is a very poorly laid out airport. Try not to get frustrated and ask if you get lost.
