Q & A

Subject: French citizenship via ancestors from France.

Question: I am a US citizen with ancestors from France. I am interested in a dual citizenship for both the US and France. Does anyone have information on this process?

Answer: Yours is a good question and I don't think I have the answer. Your best bet is to get a hold of the French embassy or nearest consulate, look here for more info, http://www.ambafrance-us.org/intheus/consulates.asp. I think if you have a grandparent who was French you might have a chance, but otherwise it might be impossible.
