Q & A

Subject: Apartment for 4 weeks in Paris

Question:

I'm hoping to take a 4-week course in Paris next summer. The program doesn't provide housing, and I wonder what my best bet would be in terms of accommodations. My husband and I live in NYC, so it may be possible for us to do an apartment swap for the month... But if that doesn't work out, is it be possible to rent a studio in Paris, and if so, how much might we expect to pay?
Any help is so appreciated!

Answer:

Your best bet, price wise is to try to do an apartment swap; they are quite popular in France. Have a look at, http://www.apartexchange.com/exchange.htm and http://www.blue-home.com/.
As for price, Paris is the most expensive city in France, but probably less than New York, I have never rented in Paris so I can't give you an idea. Here are some links for finding an apartment, http://www.bonjour.fr or http://www.e-annonces.fr.
Finding an apartment can be very hard in France, you will not be rented too unless you can prove income, not just money in the bank, so hopefully you can swap apartments with someone.
