Seminars/EventsParis Walkers United

Recreational walking group based in Paris and is for anyone and everyone interested in walking for pleasure and life long fitness. Membership is free.

The purpose of this group is not to train for Olympic speed walking! Rather, it is meant for people to get together and walk at moderate paces in order to enjoy Paris while also enjoying the health benefits of walking. And of course to meet some nice people in the process! We would like to encourage people of all ages to join.

Paris Walkers United was founded in September 2006. We now have over 200 members with 8 new members on average joining every week. We are small, but we are growing!

Paris Walkers United offers Sunday strolls of 1-2 hours of aprox 10k, but we will also be seeing treks outside of Paris which will take us onto the French trail system as well as mini marathon training for those who want a more intense walking workout.

Although our main purpose is to simply walk in this most lovely of cities, Paris, we also like to have themed walks from time to time. Past walks include: Hemingway in Paris, Belle Epoque Architure,Walking the Sacred Path (in Chartres), the Fontainblau Forest... even a Christmas Pub Crawl!

If you love to walk, join us any Sunday you are in Paris. You can sign up to be a member and to see the calendar of walks at: http://walkers.meetup.com/196/about/
