Free Flute Recital Paris

Julie Scolnik will be coming to Paris to play a flute recital with the wonderful pianist Aurelien Pontier on Friday, October 1 at 8:00 PM in the intimate Salle Cortot (78 rue Cardinet, XVII°, métro Malesherbes ligne 3) Two other superbe musicians - cellist Sebastien Van Kuijk, and guitarist Olivier Pelmoine will join her.

The concert is free and open to the public, although donations made at the end will benefit the "Fondation Fournier-Majoie pour l'innovation" (www.ffmi.eu), which funds research for many kinds of cancer.

The program will include far-ranging works by Bach, Caplet, Piazzolla, Wagner/Lizst, Bizet/Borne, finishing with the rarely-played piano trio of Clara Schumann in a beautiful transcription for flute, cello and piano.
