Message Hi Jenna

Your questions demonstrate how dubitative you are while arriving in a foreign country : ok, you are now at Charles de Gaulle Airport in PARIS-in fact at about 20 miles from PARIS center. Your suitcases at your feet and you are wondering how to get to town. Shuttle bus?, train, metro?, taxi?. And those bloody frogs do not speak french ! You have booked your hotel by email, but have no idea if the location is convenient for all the visits you have planned. Then finally you manage to get there, and discover that the hotel is located in a noisy street, far away from the closest metro station, that is is not easy to get a taxi. The room is probably smaller than you had thought - yes, PARIS is an ancient city and hotels are like they are,( although that a constant research for better quality has been conduted for several years) This shows some of the difficulties. I am just retired and travel quite a lot around the world and I have experienced this myself . I am thinking to organize a welcoming service, just to enjoy meeting friends from abroad, not for money. Friends would pay only for fees. What do you think about this idea ? Thanks for your reply and do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Anyhow, I wish you a pleasant stay in my country, so full of marvelous sites, food, landscapes, etc...
