AlsaceSignal de Grendelbruch

The Signal de Grendelbruch is a French WWI military cemetery about 30 miles west of Strasbourg. It's high up in the Vosges Mountains and offers great views of the countryside and nice hikes.

The Signal de Grendelbruch is the final resting place of solders who died during the Battle of Muckenbach on August 17th and 18th .

Signal de Grendelbruch is above the village of Grendelbruch. From the village, access can be a bit tricky. After passing the church you want to follow the small sign for Muckenbach (turn left on to rue de la Victoire) and then after driving for a few minutes veer right - rue du Hohbuhl. From there the winding road will take to you the Signal de Grendelbruch.
