ParisExposition Universelle de 1855 (World's Fair of 1855)

The Exposition Universelle de 1855 - world's fair of 1855 took place in Paris from May 15th to November 15th, 1855. This was the first world's fair to take place in France and the second in the world. London's world's fair in 1851 was the first.
This fair was located in the Jardins des Champs Elysees. The main building of the fair was the Palais de l'Industrie (present location of the Petit Palais and Grand Palais).
Unlike London, the Exposition Universelle de 1855 had a Palais des Beaux-Arts with many different types of art, so the fair focused not only on industry but culture as well.
