AlsaceObernai France

Obernai is a small town town southwest of Strasbourg. It's architecture is typical of Alsace with narrow streets, steep roof buildings with wood frames, crisscrossing facades and shuttered windows. The center of Obernai is its town square - Place du Marché (market is Thursday morning) that is overlooked by the town hall and Kappelturn. Just outside the center of Obernai you'll find St. Peter and St. Paul's Church (Église Saints-Pierre-et-Paul).
On the street between Place du Marché and St. Peter and St. Paul's Church is Puits à Six Seaux (Six Buckets Well).

Obernai is the birthplace of Sainte Odile, patron saint of Alsace who gave her name to the local Mont Sainte-Odile and its Abbey.

On the way out of town in the direction of Mont Sainte-Odile is what is left of Saint-Jean-Baptiste d'Oberlinden church and just down the street is Chateau de Hell.

Obernai is off exit 11 of the A35 Autoroute that runs between Vosges Mountains and Rhin River, from Mulhouse to the northern tip of Alsace.
