ParisChamps-Élysées

The Champs-Élysées is Paris' most famous street and considered by many to be la plus belle avenue du monde - the most beautiful avenue in the world. It's also one of the most expensive streets in the world with property prices running about €10,000 per square meter. The Champs-Élysées runs between Place de la Concorde in the east and Arc de Triomphe in the west. It can be seen every year in the summer on TV as it is the traditional finishing stage of the Tour d e France and the Bastille Day military parade on July 14th.

Today the Champs-Élysées is a magnet for both tourist and the hip looking to buy the latest fashions in one of the many luxury specialty shops on avenue.

Line 1 of the Paris Metro runs under the Champs-Élysées, with stops Charles de Gaulle - Étoile, George V, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Champs-Élysées - Clemenceau. Metro lines 2, 6, 9, 13 and the RER A also stop along the Champs-Élysées.
